TAVIORAPrivate Bank

About Taviora

A bank built deliberately small.

Most banks grow until they forget people's names. Taviora is designed the other way around: few relationships, held to a high standard, for a long time.

Why we exist

Serious money deserves unhurried judgement. That is the whole idea.

Wealth built over a working lifetime — or several — should not be handled at the pace of a quarterly target. So we keep the client list short, give every relationship a named banker, and measure ourselves on decisions that still look right ten years later.

We would rather decline politely than serve badly. It makes us harder to join, and easier to stay with.

Principles

What we refuse to compromise.

i.

Discretion

Your affairs are discussed with you and the people you nominate. Our systems, and our habits, are built around that.

ii.

Precision

Instructions executed as given, reporting reconciled to the last figure, and errors owned immediately when they occur.

iii.

Patience

We plan in decades. Portfolios, structures and relationships are designed to survive cycles, not to chase them.

iv.

Judgement

Technology executes; people decide. Every client knows the person responsible for their relationship by name.

The people

Named to clients, not marketed on websites.

Our bankers introduce themselves in person, and clients keep the same point of contact for years. We do not decorate this page with portraits and job titles for effect.

Leadership biographies will be published here once the individuals and details are confirmed — [Leadership biographies pending verification]

The house

Restraint, as a material.

Stone that outlasts trends. Timber that improves with use. Paper worth keeping. The rooms we meet in are built the way we handle money: nothing showy, nothing flimsy, everything considered.

Layered brand materials — navy fabric, dark timber, brass inlay, stone and ivory paper

Plain facts

What we will tell you plainly.

A bank's history, licence and ownership should be stated exactly — or shown as pending, never invented. These entries will be completed as each is verified.
